Job Description: Hybrid Position.
Selected candidate will be required to work onsite 3 days per week and 2 days remote.
Resource will be responsible for the activities of a Senior Salesforce Developer for the State of Indiana’s child support system known as INvest (Indiana Verification and Enforcement of Support).
INvest is built on a Salesforce platform. Resource will work under direction of the Indiana Department of Child Services (DCS), Child Support Bureau (CSB) IT Office. Responsibilities of this role will include:
• Play a vital role in iteratively designing and developing custom Salesforce applications
• Develop, configure, test, and deploy customized Salesforce solutions
• Proactive consultant that possesses a strong understanding of the Salesforce platform and its customization abilities
• Assist to continually improve and enhance our existing Salesforce platform
• Support/mentor other team members on meeting goals and delivering results. Execute knowledge transfer
• Adhere to Salesforce development best practices
• Communicate progress, needs, and planning with supervisors on a weekly basis, or as requested
• Meet project deadlines and requirements while working in an independent and remote role
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• 5+ years of experience designing and implementing Custom Applications using Salesforce Lightning Platform Components including, but not limited to: Lightning Flows, Apex, Apex Triggers, Lightning Components, Lightning Web Components (Creating, Styling, Defining Properties, Handling DOM Events, Debugging, Raising and Handling Events, Advanced Communication Between Components), and Aura
• Experience using/calling external APIs from Salesforce
• Extensive experience in building Lightning Web Components and understanding all concepts of building them.
• Experience in building Lightning flows and passing variables from flows to LWC components and vice-versa.
• Experience in uploading documents (excel, PDF) from LWC to Amazon S3 bucket.
• Experience in debugging issues in Lightning Web Components.
• Experience in calling apex methods in Lightning Web Components.
• Experience building Lightning Pages with Components and App Builder
• Experience building components for Lightning Experience Record Pages
• Experience working in a modern Salesforce development environment using Visual Studio Code, Git, and the SFDX CLI in conjunction with a Dev Hub and scratch orgs.
• Understanding of Visualforce, HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Understanding of DevOps Release management, preferably Copado
• Understanding of Delivery and Project Management frameworks, methodologies, and practices (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum)
• Understanding of REST & SOAP Web Services
• Good written/oral communication and presentation/interpersonal skills
• Experience in requirements gathering and translating requirements into effective/meaningful outcomes
• Experience in conducting unit tests and developing SOQL and SOSL queries to analyze the effects and troubleshoot any issues.
• Resourceful self-starter and highly motivated team player
• Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment with high levels of weekly task variation.
